FLOWERS OF RED

02/02/2006

The Boston Globe called this a 'timely' play and was stunned by the great acting of Krista D'Agonstina in the Boston Production, directed by Marco Zarattini.

Winner of Best Playwright at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2005, the play
traces the fate of a human shield in Rafah Gaza, circa 2003 when she begins a
relationship with Samia and the suspicious filmmaker, played by John Myers.
The flowering friendship in a deadly environment.

TERRY ADAMS - my good friend, and second play of mine he's directed (ANGELA HITLER being the first, it's politics or nothing between us)

MIRIAM TISLER - a fantastically moving SAMIA
CATHERINE LAKE - a true portrayal of high-spirited ROBERTA

not forgetting all at Komedia, Tim Rice, David Lavender, Holly Payton

and last but certainly not least - Michele D'Acosta, whose poster design was
a winner and without whom I could not have survived the Edinburgh experience.
THANKS and more thanks.

BEST PLAYWRIGHT - 2005 Edinburgh Fringe, from Fringe Report
****** Humour, rivertying performances, never preachy, well told - Jonathan Saunders, Scotland
***** a rare gem - go see it - Paul Levy author and playwright
